How to play

A phone, a computer or a TV works as the board. Only the person who creates the game needs an account.

What is Triv-AI

Triv-AI is a team quiz game played in the browser, modelled on TV board quizzes such as Jeopardy!. The questions don't come from a fixed database: an artificial intelligence model generates them on the topics the players choose, in the language they choose, with 5 questions per category of increasing difficulty, from 100 to 500 points.

  • 5questions per category
  • 100–500points per question
  • 1–8teams and categories
  • 5languages

Pick teams and topics

1 to 8 teams and 1 to 8 categories: any topic, in your own words.

AI builds the board

Choose the model and the language: each category gets 5 questions, from 100 points (easy) to 500 (hard).

Question, answer out loud, reveal

Tap a tile, read the question aloud and answer. Then reveal the right answer.

Yes or No, and the score keeps itself

Pick who answered and tap Yes or No: the question's value is added or taken away. There's an undo too. At the end, the podium.

Play free

In the “Play free” gallery you find the public games made by others: pick one and play it without spending Trivi. Every game also has a code to share.

Multiple choice, true or false, fill in the word

Each category has its own question type, picked next to its name: open answer, multiple choice, true or false or fill in the word. In the last three you tap the answer and the points go to the team automatically.

Eight AI models, your choice

Six search the web while they write the questions; the two «offline» ones don't: one uses very few Trivi, the other reasons more. They differ in accuracy, speed and Trivi used: each request deducts the Trivi it actually uses, so the numbers below are estimates.

What is Triv-AI?

A team quiz game in the browser: you pick the topics and an artificial intelligence model writes 5 questions per category, from 100 to 500 points. You answer out loud and award points with the Yes and No buttons.

How much does it cost?

Signing up is free, and if you sign up from a friend's invite link your account gets 10,000 free Trivi to try it (with a verified email or Google): enough for a 7-category game with GPT-6 Luna. Playing a game from the “Play free” gallery, or with its code, costs nothing. Generating more games uses Trivi, which you buy by card whenever you like, with no subscription: you see the price in the purchase window, before paying. Only the Trivi each request actually uses are deducted: a 5-category game uses about 3,780 with GPT-6 Luna and about 209,540 with GPT-5.5. Before each category the balance must cover the worst case: to start with GPT-5.5 you need at least 382,700 Trivi, with GPT-5.4 at least 131,150.

Do I need a subscription?

No. You pay once by card, through Stripe, and use the Trivi whenever you like.

Can I play without signing up?

Yes: the games in the “Play free” gallery can be played without an account and without Trivi. Open the gallery, search for a topic and pick a game. You only need an account to create a new game.

How do invites work?

On the page where you create a game you find your link to share. When a friend signs up from it and makes their first purchase, you both get 20,000 Trivi. It counts once per friend, and only with different accounts and cards.

Which AI models does it use?

Eight, your choice: GPT-6 Luna offline (the one that uses the fewest Trivi, without web search), GPT-6 Luna and GPT-5.6 Luna (light), Perplexity's Sonar (strong on current events), GPT-5 mini (balanced), GPT-6 Sol offline (reasons at length, without web search), GPT-5.4 (smart) and GPT-5.5 (the best); all but Sonar are by OpenAI. Six search the web while writing the questions; the two «offline» ones know facts up to a date shown on their card.

Which languages does it support?

Italian, English, French, Spanish and German, for both the interface and the questions.

How many people can play?

1 to 8 teams on the same board, shown on a single screen: phone, computer or TV. Play in the same room, or share your screen on a video call.

Can I use it for a quiz night or a team building event?

Yes. Put the board on a TV or a projector, with 1 to 8 teams; the host reads the questions and awards the points. You choose the topics, even very personal ones: your town, your industry, a specific year. The game stays in your recent games, so you can create it in advance and play it on the night. As always, the answer is shown before scoring and the host decides.

Are the AI's answers always right?

No, a model can be wrong even when it searches the web. That's why the answer is shown before points are awarded, and the host decides.

Can I get multiple-choice or true-or-false questions?

Yes: next to each category you pick the question type, from open answer, multiple choice, true or false and fill in the word. With the last three you tap the answer on the board and the points are scored automatically.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Triv-AI runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers.
